The Mill House Inn is a luxurious 1790 colonial Bed & Breakfast Inn featuring the warmth and charm of the past, with today's comforts and conveniences. Eight guest rooms and 3 suites: all with private baths, telephones with voice mail, cable TV/VCRs, some with whirlpool baths and working gas fireplaces. Rated "Three Crowns" by the American Bed & Breakfast Association and voted "Best B&B in the Hamptons" by the readers of Dan's Papers. Located in the heart of historic East Hampton Village, across from the Old Hook Mill, the Inn is within walking distance of the finest restaurants, shops, art and antique galleries and theatres in the East End. Just one mile - a lovely 20 minute stroll - to the ocean beach, and a short drive to the bay and harbors. Activities in the area include boating, fishing, hiking, bicycling, wineries, nature walks, horseback riding. Originally built by the Parsons Family in 1790, the house was purchased in 1860 by Patrick Lynch, an Irish immigrant shipwrecked in Amagansett as he fled the great potato famine. The house was expanded to its present Dutch Colonial style in 1897. Walking distance to LIRR, Jitney. Handicapped accessible. Families welcome. Most major credit cards.
